SLMHC Foundation Looking for Board Members

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre Foundation is seeking passionate community members to join our Board of Directors! If you believe in the power of local healthcare and want to play a role in shaping its future, this call is for YOU! As a Board member, you’ll make valuable contributions to our Foundation in our mission to raise vital funds for life-saving equipment and hospital programs, helping to ensure exceptional care close to home! 

 This is a meaningful opportunity to have a significant impact on healthcare here at SLMHC, to work with a motivated team, and to bring your insights and leadership to help others. If this sounds appealing, please submit a letter of interest highlighting what draws you to serving on the Board and the knowledge and experiences you would bring to your role. Letters of interest highlighting what draws you to serving on the Board along with knowledge and can be sent by email, mail or brought to the Foundation office in person (our office is just inside the main entrance of the hospital). We are also seeking “Friends of the Foundation” – those who are looking to make a difference by assisting occasionally with events and initiatives but perhaps are unable to commit to sitting on the board.  If this sounds appealing, please contact us!

The Foundation’s purpose is to raise money in order to provide funding for medical equipment, education, special treatment programs and capital building funds for the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre.  All funds raised are directed to the Equipment Fund.  For more information or to make a donation, visit slmhc.on.ca/foundation or contact Donor Relations/Operations Coordinator, Melissa Slade at 807-737-7997 or by email at foundation@slmhc.on.ca .  Without your support we would not be able to continue to purchase much needed equipment for our hospital.  We are profoundly grateful to the many donors who contribute through the year, be they individuals and families, local businesses and national corporations.
